MechaCon GEARE by REX-203 MechaCon GEARE by REX-203
This was the final design art for MechaCon's mascot mech, G.E.A.R.E. I had a BLAST co-creating this with MechaCon gurus Jon Russo and Travis Farrar (along with key input from Melanie Russo and the MechaCon staff). Awesome crew to work with.

Pretty fucking epic. >:3 The color scheme worked really well, the lighting and shading were amazingly done and the fact that he actually breaks apart to create two different vehicles at the same time is a very unique touch. :D This should totally be reused in some form, because it deserves more "screentime" (if you want, of course =P).

Man, I really wish I could draw transforming robots like this but I really can't figure out how the different parts of the vehicle are supposed to be arranged to become the robot. Any advice on that?

Very nice. Am I right in assuming that the plane and tank on the right combine to make the humanoid form?

Yeah, this looks like it would have been a lot of fun to create. I bet the collaboration made the process more fun, too.
Instant feedback, and all. :)
